Grey skies will chase the light away... No longer.
He was wrong so wrong, darkness was falling as they kept attacking a few Angels falling, even though they was he still kept fighting, he'd never give in, never give up for a True Protector would never give in to such shadows.
However his light was dimming his lord was urging him to continue, the demons were attacking but then... Then it came the dark dragon, it had Aquila's lover... His true love in its claws, close to its maw as it's own maw leaked out the darkest of shadows. This... Thing was a corruption a very ancient corruption and it was controlling thousands of demons... Demons that seemed powerful to the regular.
They all stared either in fear or sadness of what was to come of them, the only one that wasn't was Aquila his sword gleamed bright of the magic he contained, his arms sparking wildly of light that was starting to dim from the darkness of this dragon in front of him. It only glared down with blood red eyes, eyes that seemed to stare directly into the indifferent angels Soul, only his eyes of Arctic blue glowed bright staring directly back as the love deep down was burning with rage and desire, the desire to have back what the dark dragon had in its claws. It seemingly just smirked Barking out odd tongue as then Sicarius Tenebrae screamed out in agony, flicking around Aquila saw as darkness steamed from his said younger brother figure, Sicarius's once angelic pure white wings started to turn black only showing a small stem of white at the bottom of his wings. Aquila was frozen slightly on the spot as his friend then dashed forward sword in hand as red energies of the dark sparked from it, Aquila brought up his sword just in time as the strength of the dark flung back his parry, sending Aquila skidding back into a wall. His breath hitched slightly but he still stood light glaring into dark. The angels wings were sagging slightly from the bash they just took, being safe Aquila glamored his wings sending them into hiding as he rose his sword again.
The fight never seemed to end as more and more began to fall around them, Aquila shouted out, raspy in his northern accent. "When Angels fall with broken wings... I won't give up I won't give in... Even when all seems lost! A light always shines through the darkness!" He yelled, when the words went through the dark dragon laughed darkly as it spoke in the tongue of the angels, glaring into Aquila's eyes yet again as it seemingly cursed, it's grip on Lux beginning to hurt her as she screamed. "I... Will take everything from you Protector, leave you with nothing but the quest to seek what you may never find... Leave you with a broken heard that thy shall take. I will take your light away from you Aquila... Including that who you see as a younger sibling, he will betray you!" It boomed, Aquila then cringed a she felt something set, something like a curse his eyes glancing at the claw which the dark dragon was holding his true love Lux in... Only to see her start to fade, blood poured from her forehead as cuts down her arms began to open from the darkness. In being so distracted Aquila was knocked down by Sicarius the former angel now a betrayer struck at Aquila's face, Aquila only just being able to roll away in time for the falling angel to do any serious damage. He was however struck across his left eye, the blood of the wound dripping down his face as he cried out, light seemingly flashed then exploded as Sicarius vanished along with the dark dragon and it's minions. Everything went silent as the very few protectors left started on collecting those who survived. As for Aquila, his wings showed again as they lowered, rain began to fall on the battlefield as he knelt down over his lovers lifeless body, the light he had just used started to die out, dimming into the aftermath as his tears struck with blood and clear spread over her. Eventually collecting himself he picked up her lifeless body, carrying her to way she may rest in peace.
